Chien-Liang Lee

Chien-Liang Lee is a Distinguished Researcher and Director of the Institute of Law at Academia Sinica, and a jointly-appointed Professor at the Department of Law, National Taiwan University. He holds a Doctor of Law (Dr. iuris) from the University of Göttingen, Germany (1994), an LL.M. from National Chung Hsing University (1986), and an LL.B. from Soochow University (1984). His research focuses on constitutional law, administrative law, environmental law, legal methods, and the intersection of AI with legal systems. Notable contributions include works on multi-stage administrative procedures, digital governance, and the ethical implications of AI in law. He has authored or edited over 20 books, including Ten Lectures on Administrative Law Adjudication and Artificial Intelligence and Legal Change. His recent engagements include international collaborations on digital legal frameworks and public policy. He serves as a Research Assistant supervisor and actively participates in academic conferences globally, addressing topics such as digital administration, data privacy, and comparative legal systems.
