Chiara Broccatelli is an Honorary Research Fellow at the School of Music and affiliated with the Institute for Social Science Research (ISSR) at the University of Queensland. Her research applies social network analysis to study human relationships and their policy implications in areas like public health, criminal networks, and environmental movements. She holds a Master’s in Sociology from the University of Trento and a PhD in Sociology from the University of Manchester.
Key research focuses include healthcare integration via Project ECHO networks, loneliness in older adults, and adolescent sexual health interventions. Prior roles include positions at the University of Glasgow and Swinburne University of Technology. Her methodological expertise spans mixed methods and advanced statistical techniques.
Recent publications highlight applications in healthcare networks, pandemic behavior studies, and criminal network structures. She has contributed to policy-oriented research through evaluations of school-based interventions and health equity initiatives.
