Cherith Lundin is a Professor whose artistic practice spans drawing, painting, and site-specific installations. Her work explores ephemeral perceptions of light and space within everyday architecture, using materials to challenge familiar spatial dynamics. She has exhibited nationally and internationally, including at Harper College, Waiting Room Gallery, South Bend Museum of Art, Redux Contemporary Art, and Kunsthaus Nürnberg.
Education:
- M.F.A. in Visual Studies from Minneapolis College of Art & Design (2000)
- B.A. in Studio Art from Wheaton College (1996)
Lundin’s research focuses on the interplay of presence and absence, limitation and possibility, through structural elements like windows and walls. Her practice is deeply informed by the concept of art as a language of discovery and connection, which she integrates into her teaching philosophy.
