Scott Northrup

Scott Northrup is an Associate Professor and Chair of the Department of Photography, Film, and Interdisciplinary Art + Design at the College for Creative Studies in Detroit. He holds an MA from The New School and a BFA from the College for Creative Studies. His work explores modes of communication through visual languages, storytelling, and performance in relation to identity formation, while critically examining dead technologies in a digital world and the physical/ephemeral nature of human emotions like longing and desire.
