Cherie Enns is an Adjunct Professor at the School of Resource & Environmental Management, Simon Fraser University (SFU), and an experienced urban planner and educator. She holds a PhD in International Policy and Program Management from Ardhi University (Tanzania) and an MA from the University of British Columbia. Her work focuses on international development, child rights, sustainable development goals, and urban planning policy. She has led projects across East Africa, including humanitarian initiatives in South Sudan, Somalia, and Uganda. At SFU, she contributes to interdisciplinary programs and collaborates on applied research, such as the Xwe’etay/Lasqueti Archaeology Project. She also teaches at the University of the Fraser Valley, specializing in global development studies, social geography, and urban planning.
