معرفی
Chengfei He is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Marine and Environmental Sciences at Northeastern University, affiliated with the Marine Science Center. Previously, they held postdoctoral positions in the Department of Physical Oceanography at Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution (WHOI) and the Rosenstiel School of Marine and Atmospheric Science (RSMAS) at the University of Miami. Their research focuses on understanding past and future changes in oceanic and atmospheric circulation, climate variability, and their impacts, employing interdisciplinary approaches combining climate models, isotope-enabled modeling, statistical/machine learning, and paleoclimate proxies.
Education:
- Ph.D. in Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences, transferred from the University of Wisconsin–Madison to The Ohio State University
- M.S. and B.S. in Meteorology, Nanjing University of Information Science and Technology, China
Research Interests: Dr. He’s work addresses fundamental questions about climate dynamics, including the drivers of circulation changes and the quantitative interpretation of climate impacts. Their methods integrate advanced modeling techniques with observational data, emphasizing physical processes governing past and future climates.
Labs & Groups: Climate Dynamics Lab
