Chen Liang is an Assistant Professor and Dean's Ackerman Scholar at the School of Business, University of Connecticut, within the Operations and Information Management department. His research focuses on the Future of Work, Artificial Intelligence, Bias and Discrimination, Platform Economy, and FinTech, employing methodologies like Econometrics, Field/Lab Experiments, and Machine Learning. He has been recognized with over 20 prestigious awards, including the AIS Early Career Award (2023) and ISS Gordon B. Davis Young Scholar Award (2023). His work bridges theory and practice, addressing critical issues in digital platforms, labor markets, and technology’s societal impact. Notable contributions include studies on telework’s gender equity effects, AI’s role in content evaluation, and platform design’s influence on global hiring. Liang collaborates with top-tier institutions and frequently publishes in journals like Information Systems Research and Production and Operations Management.
