Chelsea Mobbs is a part-time Lecturer in Physiotherapy at the University of Southern Queensland's School of Health and Medical Sciences. She holds a PhD from The University of Queensland (2023) and a Bachelor of Physiotherapy with Honours from Queensland (2006). With 17 years of clinical experience as a senior paediatric physiotherapist, her work spans government and private sectors.
Her research focuses on preterm infants, participation assessment, early intervention strategies, and cerebral palsy. Key projects include the PreEMPT trial exploring telehealth-supported physiotherapy in regional Australia. She has secured grants including Queensland Health's Health Practitioner Research Scheme ($29,250, 2017) and Children's Health Queensland's PhD top-up scholarship ($28,800, 2017).
Chelsea has presented at 14+ national/international conferences and published on participation measures for infants, feasibility studies in early intervention, and telehealth applications in paediatric care. Her work bridges clinical practice and academic research in neonatal and early childhood development.
