Chelsea Good Abbas, PhD, is an Associate Professor in the Department of Anthropology at Widener University's College of Arts and Sciences. She holds a PhD in Applied Anthropology from Columbia University (2020) and an MPhil from the same institution (2017). Her research focuses on border studies, migration, and conflict in Central America, with a U.S. emphasis on Latino communities and media representation. She received a Fulbright U.S. Scholar Award (2017-2018) to study migration in Nicaragua and recently secured a $20,000 Local Filmmaker Fund grant for her documentary 'Love in the Time of Migration.'
