Chelan McCallion is an Assistant Professor in the Bachelor of Child Studies program at Mount Royal University. She holds an MA and BA from the University of Victoria and a diploma from Mount Royal College. Her research focuses on youth transition to adulthood, mental health interventions, and child development. She also teaches at the Riel Institute for Education and Learning’s Aboriginal Family & Youth Support Program. With over 17 years in human services, her work emphasizes vocational programming for young adults exiting therapeutic settings.
