Dr. Charly Treiber is a Research Fellow in Neurobiology at Jesus College and the Department of Biology, University of Oxford. He holds an ERC Starting Grant (2022) to lead research on genomic variation's impact on brain function and behavior. His academic background includes a combined Bachelor’s and Master’s from the University of Vienna, a DPhil in Genomic Medicine and Statistics from Trinity College, Oxford, and postdoctoral research in Scott Waddell’s lab.
Research interests focus on transposon mobilization, single-cell transcriptomics, and fruit fly behavioral studies. The Treiber Lab investigates how genetic differences contribute to individuality and behavioral diversity. Current projects include mapping neural networks, tracing memory formation, and linking genotypes to phenotypes. Collaborations with Prof. Scott Waddell are ongoing.
- Awards: ERC Starting Grant (2022)
