Charlotte Turner is the Head of Sustainable Fashion and Textiles at London College of Fashion, where she combines leadership with active engagement in education, mentoring, and industry consultancy. She pursued her BA in Fashion Design and Development at LCF, gaining foundational skills in fashion systems, textile efficiency, and business strategy. Her 15-month industry placement with From Somewhere, C&A, and Carla Fernández provided critical exposure to sustainable brand development, large-scale fashion operations, and artisan collaborations.
Her research interests focus on advancing sustainable materials, reducing environmental impact through supply chain innovation, and fostering socially responsible practices in fashion. She bridges academic and industry perspectives to promote systemic change.
Key contributions include co-founding The Sustainable Angle and organizing the Future Fabrics Expo, a major platform for educating the fashion sector on eco-friendly materials. She actively mentors through the Centre for Sustainable Fashion, British Fashion Council, and Green Carpet Talent Competition.
Charlotte played a pivotal role in the Environmental Audit Committee’s Fixing Fashion report (2019), advocating for government accountability in the fashion industry. She emphasizes the need for cross-functional collaboration, education, and clear communication to drive sector-wide sustainability efforts.
