Dr. Charlotte Simmonds is a Research Fellow at the Cavendish Laboratory, University of Cambridge, working within the Cavendish Astrophysics group at the Battcock Centre for Experimental Astrophysics. Her research focuses on observational studies of Active Galactic Nuclei (AGN) using mid-infrared data from the James Webb Space Telescope (JWST).
Her primary research interests include:
- Astrophysics
- Galaxy Evolution
- Active Galactic Nuclei
- Observational Astronomy
- Infrared Astronomy
Dr. Simmonds actively contributes to the astrophysics community through scheduled presentations, including "Mid-Infrared diversity in nearby AGN: New insights from JWST/MIRI" (August 19, 2025) and multiple fall 2025 seminars on AGN-related topics. She operates within cutting-edge research facilities at the Battcock Centre and collaborates with international observational projects.
