Charlotte Palmer-Lane

Charlotte Palmer-Lane is an Adjunct Professor in the Theatre Arts department at SUNY New Paltz. Her career spans over two decades in theatre, film, and television design. She previously worked at the BBC in London on productions like Dr Who and Narnia, and transitioned to U.S. theatre after moving to New York. She is a seasoned costume designer and shop manager with the Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival since 2008, designing costumes for plays including Hamlet, Othello, and King Lear. She also collaborates with Bedlam Theater Company and others, earning recognition for her work. Her teaching focuses on costume design production, student mentoring, and theatre crafts.
