Sun Hee Kil is an Assistant Professor in the Theatre Design and Technology program at the Conservatory of Theatre Arts, Purchase College, State University of New York. A New York City-based sound designer originally from South Korea, she maintains an active professional career in theatre design while contributing to academic program development.
Her educational background includes:

- BA in English Language & Literature, Ewha Womans University (2003)
Professor Kil specializes in theatrical sound design with emphasis on musicals and large-scale productions. Her professional trajectory spans international venues including Broadway (as associate designer for the Tony Award-winning Choir Boy), Shakespeare in the Park, off-Broadway, regional theatre, and the PyeongChang Winter Olympics ceremonies. She pioneered academic sound design programs at the University of Central Oklahoma (BFA) and SUNY New Paltz (BA with Audio Engineering minor), demonstrating commitment to advancing the discipline through education.
Professional recognition includes nominations for the Henry Hewes Design Award and World Stage Design, with selections exhibited at the Prague Quadrennial.
