Dr. Charlotte Goodburn is a Reader in Chinese Politics and Development at King's College London, serving as Deputy Director of the Lau China Institute and part of the Department of International Development. She holds a PhD from the University of Cambridge and has conducted extensive fieldwork in China, Taiwan, and India. Her research focuses on rural-urban migration, comparative development in Asia (especially China and India), gender dynamics, and policy transfer.
