Dr. Charlotte Ermine is an Adjunct Research Associate in the Department of Neuroscience at Monash University. Her research focuses on mechanisms of brain regeneration and neurogenesis following injury, particularly in rodent models of focal cortical ischemia and transient ischemic attack (TIA). She holds a PhD from the University of Melbourne (2016) under Dr. Lachlan Thompson at the Florey Institute of Neuroscience and Mental Health, where she studied adult neurogenesis post-injury.
Her postdoctoral work under A/Prof. Amy Brodtmann examined brain volume and cognitive changes in rats post-stroke. She collaborates with Prof. Mark Parsons and Dr. Andrew Bivard at the Royal Melbourne Hospital on TIA rodent models. Her work aligns with UN Sustainable Development Goal 3 (Good Health and Well-being).
No specific grants, awards, or advising records are detailed here. Her research contributions emphasize translational neuroscience, linking basic science to clinical applications in stroke recovery.
