Dr. Charlotte Brookfield is a Reader in the School of Social Sciences at Cardiff University. She serves as Co-Director of the Cardiff Q-Step Centre of Excellence for Quantitative Methods and Co-Director of Engagement and Student Voice. Her research focuses on quantitative methods in social sciences, sociology, and education pedagogy. She completed her PhD in Social Sciences at Cardiff University in 2018, exploring the role of quantitative research in sociology. She holds a DAAD scholarship for her work in methodology training.

Research Interests: Prioritizes innovative approaches to teaching quantitative methods, decolonizing curricula, and workforce satisfaction in social work. Her recent work compares policy impacts in Norway and Wales.
Teaching: Leads modules on social research methods, dissertation guidance, and data analysis.
Awards: DAAD Scholarship (2015) for participation in the GESIS Summer Methodology School.
Advising & Grants: Supervises Selma Dogan, Gill Ellis, and Fay Cosgrove. Leads outreach initiatives and student experience enhancement programs.
