Charlotte Blanche is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Management at HEC Montréal, a leading business school in Canada. She holds a Ph.D. (Management) from HEC Montréal and an MBA (Management) from UQAM. Her research focuses on organizational routines, cross-cultural management, and arts/cultural management, employing qualitative methods. She is a member of the Pierre Péladeau Center — Leadership and Management at HEC Montréal.
Teaching: She teaches courses such as Management interculturel, Management des entreprises culturelles, and Inventer le (futur du) management, reflecting her expertise in cultural and organizational dynamics. Recent teaching terms include Winter 2025, Fall 2024, and Summer 2024.
Research Interests: Dr. Blanche explores how organizational routines shape cross-cultural interactions, particularly in arts and cultural sectors. Her work bridges stakeholder theories with creative methodologies, emphasizing marginalized voices. Recent projects include analyzing knowledge-sharing in ballet productions and equity in theater organizations like Duceppe.
Supervision: Over the past five years, she has supervised 19 master's projects, including studies on arts and mental health, cultural philanthropy in Guadalajara, and workplace well-being in cultural institutions. Notable projects include Le rôle des arts dans le traitement des problématiques de santé mentale (2025) and Entrepreneuriat culturel: le Corridor Culturel (2023).
Publications: Her recent works include contributions to the Cambridge Handbook of Routine Dynamics (2021) and articles on stakeholder theories using fictional writing (2024). She also explores cultural transfer dynamics in ballet (2019) and diversity in theater (2023).
