Charlie Abbott

Charlie Abbott is a Senior Lecturer and Year 1 Leader on the BA Graphic Design course at Camberwell College of Arts. He co-founded the design studio work-form, which collaborates with diverse clients including cultural institutions and international brands, focusing on innovative production methods that involve audiences in the design process.

His research interests include typography, language, and the interplay between theoretical writing and studio practice. Work-form's projects span visual identities, typefaces, book design, and websites for clients like BBC Media Action, UCL's Institute for Global Health, and the Royal College of Art.

Charlie has taught at institutions such as Central Saint Martins, Chelsea College of Arts, and the Royal College of Art. His studio practice emphasizes collaborative design approaches that challenge traditional client-designer dynamics.
