Charles Peck

Charles Peck is a Professor in the Department of Special Education at the University of Washington’s College of Education. His work focuses on special education, teacher education, and educational policy. He holds a PhD from the University of California, Santa Barbara (1984), an MA from Sonoma State University (1976), and a BA from UC Santa Barbara (1972).

His research explores developmental disabilities, social-emotional issues in education, and systemic approaches to educational reform. Notable contributions include studies on organizational learning in teacher education programs and the role of evidence-based practices in institutional change. He has also engaged with arts-based methodologies to reimagine pedagogical practices.
