Charles Nottage

Charles Nottage is an Assistant Professor of Instruction in Mathematics at The University of Texas at Arlington. He teaches courses in Statistics, Calculus, and Numerical Analysis, and coordinates the MATH 1308 (Elementary Statistical Analysis) program.

His research specializes in vortex identification methods, particularly the Liutex approach for analyzing fluid rotation structures. Collaborating with international teams, he develops mathematical frameworks and computational techniques for fluid dynamics applications.

Nottage holds a Ph.D. (2021) and M.S. (2017) from UT Arlington, a B.S. from College of the Bahamas (2011), and is a Certified Peer Observer through the Center for Research on Teaching and Learning Excellence.
