Charles Munro is an Associate Professor of Instruction at the University of Iowa School of Journalism and Mass Communication. He holds a BA from the University of Southern California and an MA in Politics and International Relations from USC's London campus. With over 30 years of experience as a journalist, manager, consultant, and educator, he has worked in TV newsrooms (including WXYZ Detroit and WABC-TV New York), served as News Director at WCPO-TV Cincinnati, and led Magid Associates' international consultancy in London. He currently teaches broadcast journalism and media management, advises the student-run Daily Iowan TV, and provides media strategy consulting globally.

Advising & Engagement: Serves as TV Coach for Daily Iowan TV. His consulting spans strategic planning for TV/radio networks in Europe, the Middle East, and Asia, including long-term collaboration with the BBC.
Labs/Teams: Actively involved with the University of Iowa's Visual Media Lab and student media initiatives, fostering practical journalism training through hands-on production experiences.
