Charlee M Bezilla is an academic and administrator affiliated with the University of Maryland (UMD) and George Washington University (GWU). She currently serves as the Associate Director of the Language House Living Learning Program within UMD's School of Languages, Literatures, and Cultures, where she previously earned her Ph.D. in Modern French Studies (2021).

Her research explores intersections between 18th-century French literature and science, environmental humanities, and social justice. She has published extensively on topics like carnivalesque revolt, gender dynamics in Enlightenment texts, and Francophone intertextuality.
Recent publications include analyses of bande dessinée pedagogy, hybridity in the Anthropocene, and queer interpretations of Enlightenment kinship. Her work bridges literary analysis with digital humanities and social physics methodologies.
Bezilla served as a Visiting Assistant Professor at GWU (2021-2024), where she taught courses spanning medieval to modern French literature. She also teaches at UMD Global Campus and community colleges.
She is active in professional organizations, representing the Middle Atlantic region in the MLA Delegate Assembly (2023-2026), and has contributed to edited volumes in her field.
