Charitha Withanage

Charitha Withanage is a Lecturer in Marketing at Northumbria University's Department of Marketing, Operations, and Systems within the Faculty of Business and Law. She holds a PhD in Business (Marketing Communication) from RMIT University, along with a Master’s in Business, BSc (Hons) in Information Technology, and a PGCAP, all from Northumbria University. Her research focuses on digital marketing, social media engagement, and consumer behavior, with publications in journals like the Journal of Marketing Communication and Journal of Marketing for Higher Education. She is also an active conference participant and organizer, serving roles such as session chair and conference co-chair in global events like IISES (Paris) and ICOBI (Sri Lanka).
