Charalambos Pattichis is a Lecturer in Economics (Teaching and Scholarship) at the University of York's Department of Economics, with 25 years of teaching experience in economics and related fields. He holds a BSc Econ from University College London (UCL), an MPhil and PhD from the University of Cambridge, and a postgraduate certificate in teaching in higher education.

His research focuses on macroeconomics, international finance, financial economics, and academic program design to enhance student experiences. Recent work examines tax revenue elasticities in Central and Eastern European (CEE) countries and fiscal sustainability in the Eurozone. He teaches modules such as financial market regulation, undergraduate dissertation guidance, and postgraduate finance programs.
Teaching responsibilities include the MSc Finance and Investment Management program, pre-sessional macroeconomics, and independent research projects. Office hours are Tuesdays 12:00–14:00 during term time, with additional appointments available via email.
