Chantal Labbé is an Associate Professor in the Department of Decision Sciences at HEC Montréal. Her expertise spans stochastic processes, probability, financial engineering, portfolio optimization, and stochastic optimal control. She holds an M.Sc. in Mathematics from Université de Montréal and a Ph.D. in Statistics from the University of Waterloo.
Her recent research includes a 2024 study on student perceptions of conflicts and learning in interdisciplinary project-based approaches in higher education, published in Didactique. She teaches courses such as Advanced Analysis of UX Data and Introduction to Business Analytics.
Dr. Labbé contributed to HEC Montréal’s MicroMasters Program in UX Design and Evaluation, which was a finalist for the 2022 edX Prize. She is based at HEC Montréal’s campus in Montréal, Canada, and can be reached at chantal.labbe@hec.ca.
