Chantal Crinquand

Chantal Crinquand is a Senior Lecturer at the School of Health and Clinical Sciences, The University of Western Australia, based at the Western Australian Centre for Rural Health (WACRH) in Perth. As a Registered Mental Health Nurse, she brings extensive clinical experience across acute inpatient psychiatry, rehabilitation, counselling, community mental health, and clinical nurse consultant roles to her academic work.

Her research and professional focus centers on rural mental health challenges, informed by her residency in Geraldton since 2007 and leadership of a mental health program spanning the Midwest, Gascoyne, and Goldfields regions. She implements educational initiatives to improve mental health awareness and service accessibility for health professionals, community members, and allied health students in rural settings.

Chantal is certified as a Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) Instructor and DRUMBEAT facilitator, developing and delivering interactive workshops across the Midwest region. Her work directly supports United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 3 (Good Health and Well-being) through community-focused mental health education and workforce development.
