Charmaine Green is a Yamaji Nation woman and Research Fellow at the University of Western Australia's School of Allied Health and Western Australian Centre for Rural Health (WACRH). She holds a PhD in emotive autoethnography exploring Aboriginal identity and culture. Her expertise spans clinical yarning, decolonizing methodologies, and Indigenous health. She chairs the Yamaji Art Centre in Geraldton and has contributed to major art installations and exhibitions. Charmaine is a poet, author, and visual artist whose works are part of school curricula and have earned prestigious awards like the Australian Literary Society Gold Medal. She has led projects improving Indigenous healthcare communication and rural health equity.
Education: PhD from Edith Cowan University (2022). Awards include the 2024 David Lyle Prize and 2022 Magabala Fellowship. Her research addresses Aboriginal homelessness, housing, and data sovereignty. She collaborates on grants such as 'Clinical Yarning' initiatives and community development projects.
