Dr. Changxia Ke is an Associate Professor in the School of Economics & Finance at Queensland University of Technology (QUT), within the Faculty of Business & Law. Her research focuses on behavioral and experimental economics, with a particular emphasis on topics such as overconfidence, strategic alliances, contest design, and consumer behavior. She holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Adelaide (2010).
Her work explores how psychological factors influence economic decisions, including studies on coalition formation, information disclosure in contests, and the dynamics of success and failure. She has received Australian Competitive Grants for projects like 'Overconfidence as an Interpersonal Strategy in Negotiation and Competition' and 'Using Behavioral Economic Insights to Overcome Student Procrastination'.
Dr. Ke supervises PhD and Master’s students in areas such as decision-making in healthcare triage, mispricing in financial markets, and contest design. Her research has been published in top journals including Quantitative Economics, Games and Economic Behavior, and Psychological Science.
She collaborates internationally and maintains an active presence in academic networks, including roles at the Max Planck Institute for Tax Law and Public Finance. Her research bridges theoretical models with experimental validation, contributing to both academic discourse and practical policy insights.
