Chang Wang

Dr. Chang Wang is a legal scholar and barrister specializing in Arbitration Law, Commercial Law, and Investment Law. He is the first Mainland Chinese individual called to the Bar at Lincoln’s Inn. Currently at the University of Reading since 2022, he serves as Module Convenor for Research and Writing Skills, Foundation Law, Research Project, and International Investment Law and Arbitration. He teaches Tort Law to LLB and business studies students, blending academic and practical expertise.

His academic credentials include a PhD in Law (University of Exeter), LLM in International Commercial Law, and LLB from the University of Manchester. Professionally, he specializes in Commercial Litigation and Alternative Dispute Resolution as a barrister. His research focuses on international arbitration law, comparative studies, and emerging areas like AI and Digital Law. He is developing a practice book on Chinese arbitration.

Dr. Wang also serves as Deputy Director of Recruitment and Admissions at the University of Reading, overseeing admissions strategies and student recruitment efforts. Despite no current publications listed, his scholarly work emphasizes bridging legal theory and practice in cross-border disputes.
