Dr. Chandra D. Snell Clark is an Associate Professor of Speech in the Department of English and Modern Languages at Florida A&M University (FAMU), part of the College of Social Sciences, Arts, and Humanities (CSSAH). Her research focuses on African American rhetoric, biographical studies, and the Black Press. She holds a Ph.D. in Communication from Florida State University (2014), an MTS in Theology from Asbury Theological Seminary (2019), and a B.S. in Journalism from the University of Florida (1994).

Her work has been published in Political Pioneer of the Press, The Griot: The Journal of African American Studies, and American Journalism. She is completing a book project, Twentieth Century Frontierswoman: A Rhetorical Biography of Almena Davis Lomax, Journalist (Peter Lang Publishers, forthcoming). She has performed her award-winning monologue on Ida B. Wells-Barnett nationwide.
Teaching: She teaches SPC 2608 Public Speaking at various times on Tuesdays/Thursdays.
