Chai Ann Ng

Dr. Chai Ann Ng is a ClinGen Variant Curation Expert Panel member at the University of New South Wales (UNSW) and affiliated with the Victor Chang Cardiac Research Institute. His research specializes in functional interpretation of variants in cardiac potassium, sodium, and calcium channels, contributing to precision medicine for cardiac channelopathies.

• Developed the first validated assays for reclassifying Variants of Uncertain Significance (VUS) in cardiac ion channels.
• Focuses on improving diagnostic accuracy and risk stratification for long QT syndrome and sudden cardiac arrest.
• Collaborates globally to reclassify VUS for hundreds of patients, enhancing clinical outcomes.
