Dr. Ashraful Azam is a Research Fellow at the Materials and Manufacturing Futures Institute (MMFI), UNSW Sydney, specializing in functional nanomaterials for renewable energy and optoelectronics. His work focuses on quantum dots, 2D materials, and their applications in solar cells, hydrogen fuel generation, batteries, and photodetectors. He holds a PhD in Materials Science and Engineering from UNSW (2023) and has industry collaborations with organizations like BlueScope, KAIST, and ANSTO.
