Chad Pettitt is an Adjunct Senior Lecturer at the School of the Environment, University of Queensland. He is also a Lead Consultant at AusSafe Consulting, with over 14 years of experience in occupational health and safety (OHS) across industries including oil refining, infrastructure, coal seam gas, and construction. His expertise spans OHS management systems, risk management, root cause investigation, safety leadership, and process safety. He holds certifications as a Lead OHS Auditor (Exemplar International) and Federal Safety Officer (Commonwealth Government).

Chad advises clients across diverse sectors, provides expert witness testimonies, and prepares expert reports on incident investigations. His work emphasizes safety leadership, audit/assurance frameworks, and health and safety integration in design processes.
