Chad Johnson

Chad Johnson is an Assistant Professor at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point (UWSP), where he serves as the principal faculty member for the Cybersecurity option and teaches graduate courses in cybersecurity. He also coordinates the Digital Forensics and Recovery Analysis Lab.

• Education: Ph.D. in Cyber Defense from Dakota State University, M.S. in Criminology from University of Wisconsin-Platteville, and dual B.A. degrees in Political Science and Social Science from University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point.

His research and teaching focus on cybersecurity, digital forensics, and the sociological aspects of technology. Key areas include authorship attribution, cyber-crime, hardware hacking, cyber-ethics, and digital behavioral analysis. He emphasizes a mindset of curiosity, creativity, and respect for diversity of thought in cybersecurity education.
