Chad He

Chad He is an Associate Professor in the Biostatistics Program at the Public Health Sciences Division of Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center. He also holds affiliate appointments at the Clinical Research Division of Fred Hutch and the Department of Biostatistics at the University of Washington.

Dr. He's research focuses on developing statistical methods for analyzing genomic data in cancer and complex diseases. His work integrates artificial intelligence, statistical theory, bioinformatics, and biomedical sciences, including the SOMAT method for detecting somatic mutations linked to cancer traits. His studies span breast and liver cancers, sarcoma tumor microenvironments, and colon cancer risk factors.

He leads the He Lab at Fred Hutch, contributing to translational data science through his membership in the Translational Data Science Integrated Research Center (TDS IRC).
