Dr. Ceylan Köşker Bevington is an academic specializing in Victorian literature, women’s writing, and periodical studies. With a PhD from Aberystwyth University (2017), she has taught courses spanning the English Civil War, Romantic Movement, and Modernist Era. Her research explores literary celebrity, identity construction, gothic literature, and female identity.
Her notable work includes the monograph Violet Fane: The Literary Identities of a Nineteenth-Century Poet and Novelist (2021) and chapters in interdisciplinary volumes like Pragmatics and Language Teaching (2021). She has been recognized with the Bilkent University/British Institute at Ankara Joint Fellowship.
Her publications focus on Victorian women writers, periodical culture, and political subversion in literary works. Awards include fellowships and contributions to significant academic encyclopedias.
