Ceylan Engin is an Assistant Professor at Boğaziçi University, where she leads the Social Dynamics Lab. Her research examines demographic changes and social values in Turkey through large-scale survey projects including the Turkey Covid-19 Values Study (TCVS). Her work investigates evolving attitudes in fertility patterns, family structures, gender roles, and institutional trust during societal transitions.
She specializes in vaccine hesitancy predictors, having published cross-national analyses of anti-vaccination attitudes. Her studies on patriarchal systems, transgender rights, and family transformations inform social policy discussions. She develops culturally contextualized survey instruments to capture longitudinal value shifts in Turkish society.
