Cesar Angel Chamorro Alvarez

Cesar Angel Chamorro Alvarez serves as a Professor in the Department of Veterinary Medicine, Surgery and Anatomy within the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at the University of León.

Education:

• Doctorate from the University of León (1986) with thesis: "The cell membrane and its morphogenetic role in the chick embryo in neurulation: morphometric analysis of the different projections of the cell membrane and other morphological characteristics of neuroectodermal and mesodermal cells in culture, and their evolution during development". Supervised by Dr. José María Villar Lacilla and Dr. Paulino de Paz Cabello.

Research Focus: Dr. Chamorro Alvarez specializes in morphometric analysis of cellular structures during embryonic development, with emphasis on neurulation processes in avian models. His work bridges veterinary anatomy, pathological studies, and reproductive technologies through the ITRA-ULE research group.
