Prof. Cengiz Acartürk is a faculty member at Jagiellonian University's Faculty of Philosophy, Department of Cognitive Science. He holds a PhD in Cognitive Science from the University of Hamburg (2010) and completed a habilitation in psychology (2025). As director of the Multimodal Interaction and Integration Laboratory (MiiL), he leads cutting-edge research in human-computer interaction, multimodal systems, and cognitive integration.

Research Focus: His work combines eye-tracking and fNIRS technologies to study multimodal comprehension and human-artificial agent interaction. Current projects include social modulation of gaze (funded by NCN, 2025–present) and multi-agent communication analysis (Jagiellonian University, 2021–present).
