Cemil Egeli is a Senior Lecturer and Programme Leader for the MA in Clinical Counselling at the University of Chester, UK. He holds positions within the Faculty of Arts, Humanities, Social Sciences and Education, contributing to teaching, supervision, and research in counseling, psychotherapy, and social sciences.

Research Interests: Focus on biographical and autoethnographic methods, mixed heritage identities, spirituality in psychotherapy, and social policy. Current PhD research explores cultural experiences of dual-heritage students in higher education. His work critically examines counseling's cultural limitations and systemic inequities.
Publications: Engage with themes like elder abuse, grief counseling, cultural identity, and interdisciplinary approaches to therapy. Recent works address disenfranchised grief in education and spiritual integration in clinical practices.
Professional Activities: External examiner for University of Edinburgh and Grwp Llandrillo Menai. Editorial board member for Journal of Critical Psychology, Counselling and Psychotherapy. Active in BACP Spirituality committee and NCPS professional standards.
Teaching: Leads MA Clinical Counselling modules on theory, ethics, and professional practice. Supervises MA dissertations and DProf studies. Previously directed an undergraduate counseling skills program.
