Celine Coderey

Celine Coderey is a Research Fellow at the National University of Singapore (NUS), affiliated with the Asia Research Institute and Tembusu College. She holds a master's in psychology from the University of Lausanne and a master's and PhD in anthropology from the University of Aix-en-Provence. Her research focuses on therapeutic practices in Burmese Buddhist communities, accessibility of biomedicine in Burma, and HIV/AIDS. She leads projects on Burmese traditional medicine and teaches the 'Time and Life' seminar at Tembusu College.

Her postdoctoral work at the Norbert Elias Center explored reproductive and mental health in Burma. She has been recognized with a Swiss National Science Foundation Fellowship. Her work bridges anthropology with public health, emphasizing cultural and structural barriers to healthcare access.
