Marion Fresia is a Full Professor in Anthropology at the Institute of Ethnology, University of Neuchâtel, since 2015. Her research focuses on asylum practices, humanitarian governance, and migration regimes, particularly in West Africa and Switzerland. She combines ethnographic fieldwork with critical analysis of bureaucratic systems and international aid mechanisms.

Her recent publications and projects highlight transnational governance, refugee education, and sustainable aid practices. Awards include the 2022 French Red Cross Foundation Prize and the 2010 Credit Suisse Teaching Award.
