Celia Moore is a Professor of Organisational Behaviour at Imperial College Business School, directing the Centre for Responsible Leadership. She previously held roles at Bocconi University and London Business School. Her research focuses on leadership ethics, moral agency, and organizational corruption. Moore holds a PhD from the University of Toronto, an MPA from Columbia University, and a BA in Philosophy from McGill University.
Her work explores how organizations inadvertently enable unethical behavior and how individuals resist such outcomes. Key research areas include moral disengagement, ethical leadership, and navigating professional dilemmas. Her findings have been published in top journals and featured in major media outlets like the Wall Street Journal and BBC.
Moore advises organizations like the Financial Conduct Authority and NHS on fostering ethical practices. She serves on the Advisory Board of the Cary M. Maguire Center for Ethics in Financial Services and is an Academic Fellow at the Ethics and Compliance Initiative. Her awards include finalist recognitions in best paper competitions and the Organization Science Dissertation Proposal Competition.
Teaching includes MBA and executive programs on leadership, ethics, and organizational behavior. She has supervised PhD students at Bocconi and Imperial, focusing on topics like challenge culture and allyship. Her external engagements include keynote lectures at NYU, EAWOP, and Oxford's Centre for Corporate Reputation.
