Celeste D.C. Sodergren is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Connecticut in the Department of Educational Psychology and the Renzulli Center for Gifted Education, Creativity, and Talent Development. She holds a Ph.D. in Educational Psychology with a qualitative concentration, an M.A. in Communication, and a B.A. in English Literature.

Her research focuses on gifted program leadership development, self-beliefs, parent and teacher beliefs about gifted children, and closing the research-to-practice gap. Recent publications emphasize qualitative approaches to gifted education, teacher self-efficacy, curriculum-based assessment, and socio-emotional dynamics.
She previously served as a teacher of the gifted and talented in Texas, district Coordinator and Director of Advanced Academics, and Program Manager for Baylor TIP.
