Cayla Minaiy, PhD, LMFT is a Core Faculty member and Associate Chair of the Couple and Family Therapy (CFT) Program at Antioch University Seattle. With a PhD from Texas Tech University and clinical experience across community agencies and private practice, she integrates trauma-informed approaches into her teaching and clinical work.

Her research and clinical focus centers on:
- Trauma's impact on individuals and families
- Body image and disordered eating behavior
- Intersection of race, culture, and mental health
- Immigrant and first-generation identity navigation
- Ambiguous loss assessment
Dr. Minaiy has received significant recognition through fellowships and awards, including:
- Covenant Health and Social Sciences Fellowship (2017-2018)
- SAMHSA/AAMFT Minority Fellowship (2016-2018)
She maintains active professional affiliations with the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy as a Clinical Fellow and Approved Supervisor, and serves as a reviewer for the Journal of Feminist Family Therapy since 2018.
