Catrin Norrby is a Professor and Prodekanus (Deputy Dean) at the Department of Swedish Language and Multilingualism, Stockholm University. She leads the research group Interaction and Variation in Pluricentric Languages (IVIP), a collaboration between Stockholm University, University of Helsinki, University of Turku, and the Institute for Language and Folklore in Gothenburg. Her work spans sociolinguistics, conversation analysis, and cross-cultural communication, with a focus on Swedish as a pluricentric language.
