Catherine Siengsukon, Ph.D., PT, DBSM, CHWC, is a Professor at the University of Kansas Medical Center within the School of Health Professions. She specializes in neuroscience, neurorehabilitation, and sleep health promotion, serving as Course Director for PTRS 852 Neurologic Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation I.
Her research focuses on the impact of sleep on physical and cognitive function, learning, and health in aging populations and individuals with neurological conditions such as multiple sclerosis, stroke, and Alzheimer’s disease. She leads the Sleep, Health, and Wellness (SleepWell) Laboratory, which investigates non-pharmacological interventions like exercise and cognitive behavioral therapy for insomnia (CBT-I) to improve sleep quality and prevent chronic diseases.

The SleepWell Lab collaborates with institutions including the KU Alzheimer's Disease Center, Cleveland Clinic's Sleep Disorders Center, and UNIFESP's Department of Psychobiology to study sleep-wake behaviors using mobile technology and polysomnography.
