Dr. Catherine Robb is a Research Fellow at Monash University's School of Public Health and Preventive Medicine, where she contributes to the ASPREE research team. She holds an adjunct position at Imperial College London since 2021. Her work focuses on dementia epidemiology, particularly modifiable factors influencing cognitive health in older adults and early Alzheimer's diagnosis through biomarkers.
- Education: PhD in Ageing Epidemiology from Imperial College London (2016-2019)
Research interests include genetic influences, lifestyle interventions, and environmental factors affecting neurodegenerative diseases. She leads/co-leads NIH-funded projects investigating sex-specific biomarkers and behavior change programs for cognitive decline mitigation.
Key publications (2023-2024) address topics like lipid biomarkers in dementia prediction, pandemic effects on elderly physical activity, and blood pressure-cortical thickness relationships. She actively supervises postgraduate students in aging-related health topics.
Current projects include a 3-year NIH initiative (2022-2024) on Alzheimer's biomarkers and a 2025-2028 project on person-centered cognitive decline interventions.
